I've had a quick look back through the Isle of Man TT archives this morning and picked out this image of Ian Hutchinson during practice at the 2012 Isle of Man TT.

The 2012 TT marked Hutchy's racing return to the Mountain Course after the horrific leg injuries sustained in a crash at Silverstone in 2010.  Nearly losing his left leg in the crash, it looked as though his career would be over only a few months after his record-breaking 5 wins in a week at the 2010 TT.

He was still far from fit in 2012.  It became apparent shortly after the TT how unfit Hutchy was when he stopped racing to focus fully on his recovery.

Another 18 months of operations and hard work would pass before Hutchy's amazing comeback win at the 2013 Macau Grand Prix.

His recovery is now complete after winning 3 races at the 2015 TT.  A truly remarkable story of triumph over adversity.
